Sweethearts, Pancakes and Art.

I went shopping this morning. Michael's, Border's. And a trip to Dunkin' Donuts for an iced coffee. I took off my coat in the car and rolled down the window because it was so warm. It was lovely.

Here's some of my loot...Here's the Necco Twilight-themed Sweethearts I picked up at Border's.I knew these were coming out for awhile now, so I've been on the lookout. Sooo excited to see them today. There are 3 different boxes and they're number 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc. They had a billion Bella boxes. Seriously. That's all I saw. Then I noticed some of the cast boxes down towards the bottom of the display. I grabbed one. I was kind of upset. I knew who was missing, of course. But it was my lucky day when I pushed aside a Bella on the very bottom and there was beautiful Edward staring at me. Then I had to get Bella to make the complete set. I really think I'm borderline OCD. I mean it. I think when I go back to Border's Friday night with my friend, Katie, for the DVD release party I may pick up another box that I'll actually dare open. I'm planning a Twilight-themed cupcake and movie watching party and I think the Sweethearts would be kinda cool on top of the cupcakes.

My main reason for going out today was to pick up some frames to finally be able to hang my art wall that I've been wanting to hang since we moved in back in September. I had some odd-shaped prints and every time I went to Michael's, I forgot my list of what sizes they were...until now. I picked up the last of the frames I needed, came home, layed it all out and started to hang.I just finished and of course, had to take photos before I lost all the natural light for the day, so I could share with all of you! I'm so proud of this wall! Seeing it empty and seeing the pile of stuff I did have framed sitting on the floor had been bugging me forever! So, without further ado...the finshed product...You can see prints from Matt Cipov, El Lohse of Elloh, Katey Nicosia of One Good Bumblebee and Elsie Flannigan, among others and some vintage things as well.I went to Goodwill with my cousin yesterday. Found this tall, but skinny wooden shelving unit.I've been looking for small shelving units as I have lots of little things that still need a home in this bedroom. Every one I've seen just hasn't been right or has been in really bad shape. This one was in pretty good shape and was only $6.99. It must have been in a child's room, as it had some stickers stuck to it, including a Pirates of the Caribbean one, and some crayon and pencil marks. Most of it came off after a good cleaning, although some traces still remain and it's a slight bit wobbly on the carpet, however I placed it up against my hutch and that helps a lot. Plus, it fits perfectly there and wouldn't really fit anywhere else in my room. At some point, I may sand it down and spray paint it black...not sure yet. What do you think? Spray paint or leave it as is?

Here's the new wall hangings I've made for Dot. Dot. Dot., all clustered together on the doorknob of my craft closet, waiting to be tucked away in plastic storage boxes till they find a good home.A few have already been listed, while the rest are waiting patiently.

I think that's it for tonight. Off to pick up before Tim gets home and cooks me pancakes for dinner...yum. I call him the Pancake Master.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, like I did! :)

Just when you think...

You're all caught up again, you get the stomach flu. Seems I've had a string of bad luck lately, particularly health-wise. This winter has been awful for illnesses and I've definitely caught my fair share! My back finally started feeling a bit better this weekend, then whabam! I woke up Sunday morning at 5am with this awful stomach flu. Spent the past 2 days either on the couch or in the bathroom. Feeling better today.

I think the worst part is I had Sunday and Monday planned as craft days, meaning I was going to wake up and make, make, make! Derailed. Grr!

And I still have an aversion to food. And I may not eat shrimp for a long, long while. Like the time when I was 5 and I tried lobster for the first time and ironically came down with the flu the day after. I still don't care much for lobster. And I live in Maine! Or the time I ate popcorn and also came down with the flu that night. I'm pretty okay with popcorn now, but it's taken years. Is anyone else that way? haha

Hopefully I'll be back with much more happy thoughts and subjects soon! :)

Shoveling Can Be Hazardous to Your Health.

We received more snow on Monday. And I went out to shovel. I didn't even make it past the top of the driveway when I managed to step on a patch of ice hidden beneath the snow, making me jerk up just the right way, which led to something snapping in my back. I've been in pain since and have been spending lots of time with the heating pad. So fun!

Anyways...the new Scrap Mojo challenge is up, Challenge #31. What would you do if you could rule the world? Tell us and make sure to include stars on your page! Make sure to have your layouts linked up to the Mojo blog by March 15th! Here's my take...Journaling reads: If I could rule the world, I'd fill it full of joy, cheer and all things pretty!
By the way, you're playing for a $15.00 code towards a Coordinates Collections kit!

I've been busy listing destash items to my Etsy shop all week. Still have more to list. Here are just a few of the things I've listed...Off to watch "The Office" now...can't miss!
