I've started the year off by taking a break, as you may know. Taking a brief break from making things, from tending to my shops. Trying to refresh my batteries and creative juices, so I can come back better than ever. I also want to take the break to catch up on reading, movie-watching, just for fun projects and trying to get back into the habit of eating right and working out regularly.
But first, the Christmas decorations needed to come down.
After taking everything down and packing it away till next year, it all seemed so empty and sad. But, after a few days, it seems simplified and refreshed. I like it. 
Also, I got a new quilt! A white ruffled Cynthia Rowley quilt...purchase from Home Goods...I needed a change and this year, I'm liking the simplicity and possibilities with white.
