Deck the Halls...

With boughs of horry, fa ra ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra, 'tis the season to be jorry, fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra"...

So, the new Scrap Mojo challenge is up. Um, it rocks and not just because I'm a bit bias. It really does kick some you-know-what. Scrap your favorite holiday quote and include something sparkly...now, doesn't that sound fun? But, that's not the only reason you wanna play...Sassafras Lass has been super generous to donate an uber-fabulous prize pack! Everyone needs a little Sassafras in their lives, right? Also, Jen Geigley (of Hey Jen Renee) joined us on this one as the guest DT...she totally rocked it, as did the rest of my fellow Mojo girls, so be sure to head on over to the blog to check out all the other layouts and the rest of the details! You have till the 31st to get your layouts linked up to the blog and oh yeah, here's my take...This was our tree in the old house last year...we always try to get the best tree. Used lots of goodies from one of my favorite Etsy shops, One Ripe Peach, on this, i.e. the pink berry topper, red velvet leaves, glittered ledger paper. I have more the green lace I used available in my Etsy shop.

And can you guess which classic holiday movie my quote is from? It's super easy, but I'm not going to tell you, because here's the deal...I'm going to give away this Winter Wonderland Button Wreath Ornament to one person who can correctly guess which movie it's from! All you have to do, leave a comment on this entry telling me your guess, your name and city and I'll pick one lucky winner on Monday, so that means you have until Sunday night the 7th to get your guesses in. So sorry, but I'll only take US and Canada residents on this one, please, although I'd still love it if you'd say hi! Here's the ornament...
I've been collecting and making ornaments for while now (that my Mom won't let me put on the actual tree), so I decided to get my hands on a mini tree and set it up in the bedroom this year. I found these awesome colorful bulbs at Urban Outfitters, so I knew I had to get something that would fit with them. White was perfect. Here it is, all set up...
Gus Gus!and Jacques! The wooden blocks were from Pony Party, the vintage corsage picks that I fashioned at the top of the tree were from this Etsy shop and the other ornaments were picked up from flea markets, stores, handmade, etc. Oh, how I love my mini tree...it's so, well...ME!

Also, here's a few pics of some random holiday decor touches around the room...Tonight, I'll be working on this:Dana really puts together the BEST kits! This project kit is sold out, but you can still get your hands on the main kit, which is just as cool and includes the CUTEST little stamp!

Don't forget, you have until the end of Sunday to get in your guesses for the giveaway! :)

EDIT: Jenipher asked on my last post if I made my new banner in photoshop. Actually, I made it on paper, scanned it, edited the scan and that's it. Pretty simple...just keep in mind, if you decide to try it, keep everything as flat as can be, otherwise you'll have shadows and an uneven scan.

Till next time...
