It's Monday night, it's raining and I'm tired.

It's been raining for days here...seriously...I barely remember what the sun looks like. I had to go to the post office after work today and I dashed in there with my umbrella overhead and the postman made a remark about the weather and it's funny because I realized, here in Maine, we all love to complain about the weather. It's too hot, it's too cold. It's raining again, no more snow! Oh no, the mosquitoes are out! We're just never satisfied up here...at least not for long, haha. The postman and I did agree, however, that we'll take the rain ANY DAY over snow!

The unfortunate thing about the rain, though, is that it's not condusive to taking lovely pictures of lovely crafty things. I've been trying to craft up a storm here lately. I've spent sooo much time in my craft closet. I've made a bunch of greeting cards that will be shipped out to this gallery and shop for consignment. I've got some other things brewing and I've been brainstorming new ideas and changes and trying to research packaging and design business cards and all sorts of stuff. I feel nearly overwhelmed. But, then I remember that I love this, being crafty and creative, and the hard work does pay off in the end.

As I mentioned, I do have some exciting things in the works. But, I'll have to keep what those are and all the details a secret for a while longer. They'll be revealed in good time...but I do have lots of work ahead of me before that time is here. :)

I did manage to sneak in a trip to Goodwill the other day...found some neat things! I love when that happens! Here's what I came home with...Vintage Cray-pas, Gemco creamer, Daher tea tin, 1985 Care Bear Cousins mug, Kettle Restaurant Pancake House mug, doilies, a vintage Dennison Label Maker, a WMF brass bowl, and some little frames.

Saturday night I also managed to sneak in time for my Twilight Cupcake Party. It was so much fun! We had lots of Twilight-inspired supplies and I even made my own Edward picks for the occasion...Here's some of my finished cupcakes...They were red velvet, which we all tried for the first time. Delicious, but soooo messy! I think my tongue is still stained red, haha.

The new Scrap Mojo challenge debuted a couple days ago. It's a fun challenge...scrap about an imaginary friend or if you didn't have one, make one up, and be inspired by the animal crackers box. Of course, you can read all the details on the blog and make sure to have your creations submitted by the 15th! The winner will receive a kit from Sweet Twee Lab...I've been sooo wanting one of their kits for forever!

And oh yeah, here's my take, along with a pic of the animal cracker box.As you can probably tell, I incorporated the banner along the top, used a few little animals, created a sort of grid with my image/title/journaling like the animal cage grid on the box and kept my design squared off. Also, PB really was my imaginary friend when I was a little one. My Mom says that she always caught me talking to myself and when she asked who I was talking to, I always said PB. And it was just PB too...it didn't stand for anything, just PB. Ahh, the benefits of being an only child growing up! haha...

Anyways, I must head to bed now. There's too much yawning going on over here not to. Hope everyone is well! :)

A Twilight cupcake party?! No way, you are awesome! :)

And you are preaching to the choir about talking about the weather and never being satisfied, haha. Living up here (East Coast), it's a way of life, you can't not talk about the weather...

Your layout is super cool too, and I can't wait to see all the stuff you are creating!

PS-Isn't the rain here terrible?! Been raining for days...but at least it's not snow :P

Sorry about the weather. I don't know how it slipped past me, but I don't think I knew that you lived in Maine... I thought you lived somewhere in the midwest but I have no idea why. Its' raining in Northern California right now so I hope that makes you feel better. Love the page and the cupcakes!
