Sprinkle me with pixie dust.

Or not.

The new Scrap Mojo challenge went up today! It's an awesome one (as if they're not all entirely awesome, right? haha)...be inspired by the J.M. Barrie story, "Peter Pan" and use a frame.I always loved the Disney cartoon version, of course. That reminds me, I should pick up the DVD version the next time it's released. So, I used that as my inspiration. I have this "Peter Pan and Wendy" book that I have had since I was little. I dug it out of the basement and photocopied a page for my "photo". I decided to create a wall hanging with it instead of a scrapbooking page, especially since I have these cardboard frame bases from a vintage DIY fabric frame kit. Figured I'd just use that as the base for my wall hanging and it worked perfectly. I covered that in some of the recently acquired from Goodwill fabric that I thought fit in with the color scheme of the photocopied page and hand stitched vintage lace around the picture and the edges. That part took the longest. Also stitched some vintage buttons to the corners and included a feather as a sort of "shout out" to Tigerlily. Really pleased with the way it came out and even have it hanging on the back of my craft closet door.

Be sure to head on over to the Mojo blog to check out all the details and be sure to have your projects in by April 30th! You're playing for an awesome kit from Vintage Plum! Oh, and while you're at the blog, be sure to welcome all the new Mojo girls! :)

In other news, on Saturday, one of my Spring Bird's Nest Mini Wreaths was featured on the Paper*Cakes Finds blog!
Chelsea has created such a fabulous blog filled with lovely finds and I'm honored to have one of my items included! Be sure to check it out. She also featured some of Ellen from One Ripe Peach's super cute handmade cards in the same post.

Have a lovely week! :)
