In boxes. In vintage glasswear. In Pyrex. In knick knacks and childhood toys. In miscellaneous things I can't part with.I decided at the end of last week that I absolutely needed to re-do my storage in the basement. Some of the old plastic storage totes I had no longer closed properly and were warped. I had tons of cardboard boxes filled with stuff my Grandmother had given me when she moved just after Christmas and lots of stuff thrifted at the end of last year and so far this year that needed to be put in boxes and stored properly. So, I picked up some more plastic storage totes (that have closeable handles) from Target and 2 massive boxes of bubble wrap to re-wrap anything breakable, as I had been previously using newspaper and had found that the print was rubbing off on some of my glasswear.I started taking things out of boxes and unwrapped them as I went and soon I had piles of stuff everywhere. It was overwhelming. I spent nearly all my free time this week on this, and it's still not quite done, but it's close and I feel better now that it's organized and everything is stored properly. I was also able to purge some things, so that felt nice.I'm sure I'll have to tweak it again at the end of this thrift season, but oh well. I'll deal with that then. The good news is that someday when I have my own house and don't live at home, I'll have plenty of stuff to fill my home! Now, "GLEE" fans...what did you think about this past week's season finale? So good! I want Jonathan Groff to come back next year, though! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed all summer, if I have to!
That's all for now. I have to go and figure out my yard sale plan for tomorrow. Will I find anything good to add to my collections? Who knows!
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
